On April 25, 2009, President Lincoln’s Cottage held its first ever Photography Day, giving participants the rare chance to photograph the Cottage interior and a vista overlooking downtown Washington. Cottage staff selected 10 finalists from 49 entries. Entries were kept anonymous for staff voting only.

Photo Day offers amateur photographers a rare chance to take interior and exterior shots of the Cottage and a scenic vista overlooking downtown Washington, DC.
